National Cyber Security Awareness Month for the SMB

National Cyber Security Awareness month is a coordinated effort led by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC).

NCSA has provided some concise and meaningful best-practice information that is particularly relevant to Small and Medium Business and Home use of computers at its Web site – StaySafeOnline.org.

As a starting point the NCSA suggests the following:

  • Assess Risks
  • Monitor Threats to Business
  • Draft Cyber Plan
